The Paul Caissie trail is a hiking trail (for non-motorized use) with an approximate distance of 500 m (1 km round trip) and a north-south orientation between route 530 and the Grande-Digue marsh, near the dune. The difficulty level is considered easy, but watch out for poison ivy at the end of the trail near the swamp.
The Paul Caissie trail aims to provide residents of Grande-Digue and surrounding areas and visitors with access to a heritage site of prime importance with the presence of a marsh, a lagoon and the Grande-Digue dune, as well as than a single ecosystem. The installation of a bird observation platform, nesting boxes for swallows, an interpretation panel and a nesting platform for ospreys contribute to environmental awareness.
