This cache will take you to an underpass that provides access to the Charnwood Shops from Latham. Charnwood's suburb design was based on a principle that houses were to face common parkland and residents could walk from any point in the suburb to an aother without directly crossing a road; pedestrian bridges and underpasses helped to make this possible. The design failed when home owners built fences around the 'park side' of their blocks, however it is still possible to walk to many parts of the suburb via the network of foot paths.
