Kia Ora
I am travelling with at German travel group, and we are exploring New Zealand. Today we are arriving at Rotorua, and we are inviting local geocachers to come to say Hej - Kia Ora - or any other greeting to say Hello. We look very much forward to seeing you.
During my research for the trip I have learned that the oldest cache in New Zealand was placed near Rotorua. About 8,5 km away from this meeting place. Unfortunately the cache was never found before it was muggled. And unfortunately we cannot be here next year to celebrate its 'would have been' 25th anniversary, but during this event we can take the time to celebrate the geocaching community in New Zealand and all the ties to other places in the world - for instance Denmark and Germany where we come from.
Tēnā koutou i tēnei ahiahi
The event will take place near the area that celebrates the Guides of Whakarewarewa. This is a place that I look forward to seeing too. It seems like a perfect place to learn a lot about the area and see some beautiful sights.
I look forward to seeing you
