Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.

If you've done my nearby Virtual Cache Petersfield Heath - 4000 years of history you might have learned something of the  collection of Bronze Age burial mounds, or Barrows, on the Heath, however during excavations  a much earlier Stone Age campsite was discovered at the posted co-ordinates which  would have been used by nomadic hunter-gatherers, and across the Heath over 300,000 Mesolithic artefacts were uncovered indicating habitation up to 10,000 years ago.

The Archeologists probably also found a horde of plastic pointy objects, not dating from the Stone Age, but from more recent times when this was the first tee of the Petersfield Golf Club, the club house being in the building about 50m East of here and now a Nursery school.

At the Published co-ordinates read the information board and collect the dates for the Mesolithic Campsite

ABCD - EFGH

then

J=C-B
K=E-G

From the published co-ordinates project a waypoint BDG.E m on a bearing of JKJ.C degrees where you will find the cache.

As some projection tools can vary slightly in their accuracy you can check your co-ords here, which gives a few metres leeway:

This cache involves a walk of about 800m (round trip) over Petersfield Heath, the Heath can get very boggy in places after heavy rain so good waterproof walking boots would be a good idea if it's been raining hard recently.

To retrieve the  cache requires a simple climb, please don't climb unless you're confident in your ability and  only log a find if you reach the container and sign the log, finds without a signature will be deleted.

In addition to the mass produced stamp there's a hand made stamp representing a flint arrowhead, please don't take the stamps as swaps.
