The West Seattle Needful Things organization (well, me) thinks that geo-folk deserve just a little bit of extra Fun in the Dark before Leap Day is over for another four years.
After what was perhaps a fun-filled Leap Day of events, CITOs and geocaching, you are invited now to get outdoors in the pitch black of an unlit forest and share stories about your Leap Day adventures. Quite likely you will have a chance for a final adventure before the last ferry sails across the Sound. And for those who were kept inside today and held late at work by muggle bosses who don't understand the importance of Leap Day souvenirs and addons, here's an event for you!Â
We will meet rain or (moon)shine. Our meeting point is under cover at Picnic Shelter #2, which is reached by a paved trail from the parking lot, and which has seating and is wheelchair accessible. The restrooms will not be open at this hour.
It is very dark here. Bring a good flashlight, both to find the meeting point and for caching activities before and after. If you expect to be walking around Lincoln Park, wear appropriate footwear as the paths can get muddy.
Lincoln Park (and the parking lot; see parking coordinates) is open from 4:00 am to 11:30 pm.
A new Night Cache will be publishing around 10:00 pm so we can take a dark walk in the park for a Leap Day co-FTF!
See you there!
