Нос „Скамни”
Нос „Скамни” е скалист нос, намиращ се на най-североизточната точка на Созопол. През Античността на скалния нос е имало светилище. Открити са теракотни фигурки на богините Деметра и Персефона. Счита се, че светилището е било посветено именно на тях. Там са се изпълнявали ритуали по време на октомврийският празник „Тесмофории”. Светилището е датирано към VI –V в. пр. Хр. Освен светилището на носа има останки от древен манастир – „Св. Апостоли и 20 000 мъченици”. На носа са откривани и много други археологически артефакти.
Освен с древната си история, носът е известен и с красивите скали, врязали се в морето. Тук може да видите и любители на адреналина, които скачат в дълбоките води.
„Scamni” Cape
Cape "Skamni" is a rocky cape located at the most northeastern point of Sozopol. In Antiquity, there was a sanctuary on the rocky promontory. Terracotta figurines of the goddesses Demeter and Persephone have been discovered. It is believed that the sanctuary was dedicated to them. Rituals were performed there during the October festival "Thesmophoria". The sanctuary is dated to the 6th - 5th centuries BC. In addition to the sanctuary on the nose, there are remains of an ancient monastery - "St. Apostles and 20,000 martyrs”. Many other archaeological artefacts have also been discovered on the bow.
Apart from its ancient history, the cape is also known for its beautiful cliffs cut into the sea. Here you can also see adrenaline junkies jumping into the deep waters.
