Little Caprock Peak at around 4100 ft in elevation is the lower end of this rough rocky ridgeline and more diffilcult to summit than Big Caprock Peak, further north along the ridge. Best views of this ridge is from the Cochie Springs trail.
Rock hopping through loose rocks and soil, the usual brutal sharp vegetation, then some bouldering will be required, choose the route you take carefully and dont forget you have to get down ! Gloves and walking stick may be helpful for some.
Stand on the summit rock and look north along the rugged ridge to Big Caprock for the view that makes it worthwhile, parts of west side are an impressive shear drop down into Cochie Canyon !
Cache is an old tea leaf tin with room for trades.
There is also a summit register in a yellow water bottle available to sign, that is not the cache.
I added two waypoints that may assist in the choice of route ?
Be aware of all the usual desert wildlife, i came up on a pack of ten or more Javelina on the Upper Javelina Trail this morning, got some cool video but was then it was suggested i leave by one of the group !
