Geocache Description:

The church:

All Saints Church in Kenton is a perpendicular styled building with the second tallest bell tower in Devon at around 120 feet. The church on the site at this time is thought to date from around 1360 to 1370, but was probably proceeded by a building built around a hundred years earlier. Archaeological surveys carried out in 2006 revealed walls from two earlier churches on the site as well as the remains of a medieval bell foundry.

The cache:

This is a simple two-stage multi that requires the collection of some numbers from monuments within the churchyard and the finding of a final container a short distance away. You're looking for a repurposed plastic pot. It doesn't contain a pen so you'll need to bring one to sign yourself in.

The headline coordinates will take you to the cruciform memorial of George Henry Courtenay.

  • George was born on the AB of December 18CD

Head clockwise around the church and to the back right corner of the churchyard. The tomb of Edward Mortlock Studd shouldn't be difficult to find.

  • Edward's two word rank in the Army has E letters in the first word and F letters in the second word.
  • He died on the G of December 1H77.

Final location:

The cache is located at:
