This is a beautiful spot on the R102 just off the N2. I first discovered it doing the original cache placed at this location and it really deserves a cache.
Hidden under the bridge, built in 1940, is a stunning spot surrounded by cliffs and trees with a big river pool behind a weir. The Elands River cascades into an upper pool and then the big pool filling it with the brown tannin-filled water of the forests of the Southern Cape. Getting down to the river requires a steep descent down a set of steps.
The rocks right at the bottom by the river may be slippery so please be careful if you decide to go to the water's edge. Bring you costume and a towel on a hot day and cool down a bit after logging your find.
Your GPS may jump around with the trees and cliffs so check the hint in case technology fails you on the day. Please make sure the camoflage is properly back in place.
