Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates, but is somewhere in the downtown Flowery Branch (FloBra) area. You can start the process of searching from anywhere. The cache is relatively close to the posted coordinates, although it's not necessary to visit them.

Note: The hide is along side a private residence and has been placed with permission. Please be respectful when hunting the cache.

If you've done Reverse Wherigos, you're already a pro at this, so enter your codes below and get started.  I believe it is the first one in the Flowery Branch area.

Here are the codes necessary to find this specific cache:

The cartridge can be downloaded here: The Reverse Cache - beta.  Keep in mind, if you have downloaded the cartridge before, you do NOT need to download it again (All "Reverse Wherigos" use the same cartridge unless otherwise specified...).

If you have never done a "reverse" Wherigo, keep reading to learn more. (Many thanks to GeoMonkeyTiger! for allowing me to use his clear verbiage to explain how a Reverse Wherigo works.)

What is a Reverse Wherigo

A "Reverse" Wherigo is a popular type of Wherigo you will see in multiple locations.  The original cartridge was created by -Waldmeister- and is available to download from the website (see link above). -Waldmeister-'s "The first Reverse Cache [WIG]" is the original cache in this family.  Something that is a little different with Reverse Wherigos-- regardless of location, you will always use the same cartridge to solve for the final location-- regardless of where the actual cache is.  Kind of cool, right?

When you start a Reverse Wherigo, you'll be asked a couple of questions to get started.  You will then enter three, six-digit numbers into the engine.  Once you have done that, the Wherigo will know the location of the final cache!

When you play the cartridge, you will use the "Reverse Cache Box" in your inventory to give you information.  You will only get one piece of information-- how far you are from the cache.

From there, how you proceed is up to you.  You can move a distance and check again.  Are you closer?  Keep moving that way.  Are you further?  Try a different direction. You can get your distance to the cache as many times as you like, though some people like to see how few tries they use to find the cache . . .

Once you zero in on a spot close to the final, you can try to find it yourself without any more queries. If you make a query within a very short distance, you'll receive the actual coordinates and can follow your GPS from there. Otherwise, you probably won't need your GPS receiver at all when playing this wherigo. After you make the find, feel free to post the stats (number of queries, etc.) from your search as part of your log. There's no "completion code" for this cartridge.
