When I moved to Parksville earlier this year I was warmly greeted by the local caching community, some of whom casually informed me that my reputation for creating challenging puzzle caches had preceded me. Ongoing renovations to my house have prevented me from getting as deeply active with caching as I had hoped, but I wanted to create this Mystery cache to provide a bit of an introduction to what you might expect from my puzzles.
First and foremost, you should realize I am a card-carrying nerd 
, or at least I would be if carrying a "Nerd Card" with me at all times was required.
What this means is that my perception of the world around me is somewhat skewed from the ordinary, often far away from what normal people (i.e. muggles) see and experience. Another quirk I have acquired as a geocacher is that my cognitive abilities are somewhat enhanced. For example, I often find I can perceive something as being out of place or extraordinary without consciously examining it, and that particular skill has helped me tremendously in finding geocaches that are hidden in a devious fashion.
In the case of this Mystery cache, while its setting appeals to my interest in Public Art pieces, there is an extremely subtle feature here that managed to catch my eye, but probably 99.9% of the population would miss entirely. If you have checked out my Parksville Water Tower cache you might have some idea how my brain works.
