(SI) NOVI VISEČI MOST ČEZ SAVO
Poplave v avgustu 2023 so odnesle in uničile brv za pešce in kolesarje, ki je povezovala Vikrče in Medno ter predstavljala povezavo med občino Ljubljana in Medvode. Brv je bila velikega pomena za kolesarje in pešce, ki uporabljajo poti v okolici in za uporabnike nove kolesarske poti med Medvodami in Vikrčami, ki se je preko brvi navezovala na kolesarske poti proti Ljubljani. Vsaj tako pomembna je bila kot povezava krajanom Vikrč in Pirnič z železniško postajo in postajališčem avtobusa v Mednem.
Novi viseči most bo zgrajen nekoliko višje nad gladino reke Save kot je bila stara brv in bo zato tudi nekoliko daljši. Predvidena večja višina pomeni tudi več varnosti pred izjemnimi poplavami, kakršne so avgusta 2023 odnesle brv. Predvideno je, da bo most zadosti širok, okrog dva metra in pol, da bo omogočal neovirano srečevanje kolesarjem.
Solastnici stare brvi sta bili Mestna občina Ljubljana in občina Medvode, meja med občinama namreč poteka po sredini reke Save, zato skupaj prevzemata tudi obveznosti pri gradnji novega mostu. Občini sta se dogovorili o nadaljnjih korakih in razdelitvi nalog. Mestna občina Ljubljana je pripravila projekt za rušitev ostankov stare brvi in izbrala izvajalca, občina Medvode pa vodi načrtovanje novega mostu. Ker gre za zahteven objekt, je tudi izdelava projektne dokumentacije zahtevna in obsežna. Do konca januarja 2024 je bil izdelan geodetski posnetek in opravljene geomehanske raziskave tal za zagotovitev ustreznega temeljenja - oboje je del izvedbe projektne dokumentacije. Pred izgradnjo bo Državna tehnična pisarna projekt recenzirala, projekt pa bo moral upoštevati tudi pogoje, ki jih je podala Direkcija RS za vode.

(ENG) NEW SUSPENSION BRIDGE OVER THE SAVA RIVER
Floods in August 2023 swept away and destroyed the footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists, which connected Vikrče and Medno and represented the connection between the municipalities of Ljubljana and Medvode. The footbridge was of great importance for cyclists and pedestrians who use the paths in the surrounding area and for users of the new cyclist connection between Medvode and Vikrče, which connected via the footbridge to the bicycle path towards Ljubljana. The footbridge was at least as important for residents of Vikrče and Pirniče as a connection with the train station and the bus stop in Medno.
The new suspension bridge will be built slightly higher above the level of the Sava River than the old footbridge and will therefore also be slightly longer. The planned higher height also means more safety against extreme floods, such as the one that washed away the footbridge in August 2023. The new bridge will be wide enough, about two and a half meters, to allow cyclists to meet unhindered.
The co-owners of the old footbridge were the Municipality of Ljubljana and the Municipality of Medvode, the border between the municipalities runs along the middle of the Sava River, so they jointly assumed the planning and other obligations for the construction of the new bridge. The two municipalities agreed on further steps and division of tasks. The Municipality of Ljubljana prepared a project for the demolition of the remains of the old footbridge and selected a contractor, while the Municipality of Medvode is leading the planning of the new bridge. The bridge is a complex project, and thus the creation of project documentation is also demanding and extensive. The geodetic survey as well as the geomechanical research for the proper foundation, which are essential part of the project documentation, have been carried out before the end of January 2024. Before construction, the National Technical Office will review the project, which will also have to comply with the conditions set by the Slovenian Water Agency.
