Geocache Description:

Three Figures Statue -

The Three Figures Statue in Shantou City, originally named "Rising," is located in Jinping District, Shantou City. It was completed at the end of October 1986 and is one of the cultural landmarks of Shantou City.

The appearance of the Three Figures Statue in Shantou City consists of three pure white human-like statues, each with an independent body contour but connected at the base. They are depicted in a light and soaring posture, collectively holding up a realistic championship trophy, symbolizing the hope and pride of the city. The statues are mounted on a base, symbolizing "standing on solid ground." The real-life prototypes of the three figures are champions from Shantou, including Li Hongping, who won the first men's diving world gold medal for China in 1981. The entire structure is named "Rising" with the implied meaning, but due to the common nickname "Three Figures" among the citizens, it has been officially referred to as "Three Figures" in official documents and media reports for many years.
