This cache will take you to the junction of Highway 35 and Bear Creek Road in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains. An interesting and somewhat confusing thing about Highway 35 is that it's also called Summit Road for many miles, Skyline Blvd. for even more miles, and Bear Creek Road for just this short <1-mile stretch.
The cache is placed near a large turnout at the "crossroads" that provides plenty of parking. You're looking for a different twist on a guard rail cache that should be a quick stop on your way to or from somewhere else in the mountains or over the hill. During the winter when it's raining, it's a good idea to check the road conditions before you come up. And during Christmas tree season, forget it!
