The Hidden Code
The children gathered in the old library, their breath fogging in the chilly air. The faded book in Leon’s hands trembled slightly as he opened it to the first page.
“Amazing,” whispered Abby, leaning closer. “The map is here, just like Grandpa said!”
“Let’s go,” Leon urged. They followed the map through rows of ancient shelves, stopping at a ladder leading up to the highest level.
“Really?” Abby groaned. “You’re going to make me climb?”
“Every adventure needs a challenge!” Leon teased. He climbed quickly, disappearing into the dusty shadows above.
“No time to waste,” said abby, sighing as she followed him.
The ladder led to a hidden alcove where a pedestal held a small, golden box. Inside was a single scrap of paper, its message cryptic:
“Can one discover every secret?”
“What does it mean?” Abby asked, her brow furrowed.
After a few moments Leon's eye's got real wide and he shouted "I cracked the code!"
