Lucena del Cid (in Valencian and co-officially Llucena) is a municipality and Spanish town in the interior of the province of Castellón, in the Valencian Community. It is located in the Alcalatén region and has a population of 1,369 inhabitants (INE 2023). It is popularly known as "The Pearl of Muntanya".
A difference of more than 1000 m in height that can be overcome in just 11 km in a straight line: The town is located on a not very high hill between the Barranco de la Pedreñera and the Lucena River; It presents the typical mountainous image with crooked and steep streets, elevated on the hill with the river at its feet. It has an extensive area, very broken and with great differences in altitude. In fact, in the eastern end of the municipality, next to the Llucena River, downstream from Figueroles, the height does not reach 340 meters above sea level, while in the extreme northwest, in the vicinity of Peñagolosa, in Cabezo Roig, it exceeds 1380.

The Coll de les Coronettes is a mountain pass located in Lucena del Cid, we chose this point on the CV-193 highway (Argelita – Lucena) to “plant” this cache, go up here walking or walking to the pedals we hope you enjoy this wonderful environment.
