The Run Science and Technology Park (润慧科技园) is one of many around Huangpu District. It lacks direct access to a metro station, but the nearest station is only 1km away, and it has integrated with the blueway in a more impressive way than pretty much all the other developments along it have done.
The design is world class, with public access, lots of appealing and playful design elements, mixed use in the form of ground floor shops, cafes and restaurants, an interconnecting pedestrian network at ground and upper levels, and sports facilities in the form of a basketball court. The development includes covered parking for ebikes.
The only thing missing, so far, is tenants for all of the beautiful offices (which are only partly filled) and shops (which are mostly not yet filled). The development was completed late in 2021. The blueway is cut off at the roadway just south of the development, requiring bikes to be lifted over the kerbs and effectively blocking ebike (which are too heavy to lift) from conveniently passing along the blueway here.
