The Science and Technology Park immediately southwest of the cache was built in the early 2010s, and shows none of the attractive, high quality design aspects incorporated into the many new science and technology parks around Huangpu. The buildings are closely packed and desnse, with no high quality public spaces at all. The few spaces available in the interior are allocated to either surface car parking or useless greenery. It's walled and gated and with no mixed uses such as cafes and shops inside.
As the buildings around Huangpu age and developers increasingly look for opportunities to replace poorly designed older office parks, this one will probably be high on the list.
The somewhat surprising pedestrian and bike pathway emerging here provides a good connection to the blueway 350m to the east.
