The defining feature of the Xibiankeng River blueway is that it mostly traverses areas of dense middle to lower income housing. The landscaping is relatively less fancy in many ways, and there are no fancy viewing platforms for bird or aquatic life, and it won't feature in any tour guides for Guangzhou, but in some ways it's the best of them all. As in other areas of Huanpgu the blueway features many excellent public spaces and high-technology industry parks and factories, but it also features a large range of more modest activities and at least in terms of variety, is probably unmatched.
