This cache is on the 10-mile-long Northern Stand Trail which passes through Everett, Malden, Revere, Saugus, and Lynn.
It is best experienced on foot, by bike, roller skates, wheelchair, or however you like to roll—and it will indeed take you to the sea. To the south, it ends at the Mystic River where it flows into Boston Harbor. Going north, it will connect you to local roads that lead to both the Revere Beach and Nahant Beach State Reservations. Examining one of the maps along the trail will help you find what you are looking for.
For a quick park & grab, there is a large parking lot at Rivergreen Park at the cache coordinates.
