WELCOME TO THE EDGEWOOD GEOART SERIES
This series is not about the hides. It is about puzzles and places. All cache hides will be a DNA tube stuck in a hole (think Stop, Speed Limit, Dead End and the like). As you finish the puzzles and find the containers, make sure to note the character that is associated with each number. In the end you should have 10 characters that make up a phrase that is related to the town of Edgewood. This will be the code word for the FINAL for the series.
Edgewood, informally known as North Hill, was first created by homesteaders who had settled in the area beginning in the 1860s. Early settlers were a melting pot of European immigrants and migrants from the East coast. Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Scottish, German, Italian and Canadian families came looking for a better life, living on their own land and a place to farm. The Seattle-Tacoma Interurban Railway began service in 1902 and brought great growth to the area. As a result of this growth, the residents of the area voted 1,898 to 1,691 to incorporate. As of 2021, the population has grown to 12,665.
Edgewood Bible Church

The church started as a Sunday school that was held at the old Edgewood School in 1910. The school was torn down in 1933 and the Sunday school moved to the Grange Hall where they met for 7 years. In September of 1940, construction of the new church was started with a dedication held on Easter Sunday in 1947. The belfry bell placed in the new church that was rung before morning services was the same bell that was in the old Englewood School where it all began.
