The cache is not hidden at the posted coordinates and it is not necessary to visit the place to get the final coordinates. However, you can see olive groves, many of them rectangular in shape, which inspired us to create this mystery cache.
By the way, we saw a number of very old olive trees on Crete, but the large grove of them around the GCA5FKH cache near Monastiraki (Μοναστηράκι) was very impressive. While this place is not necessary to visit for this puzzle, it is definitely worth a visit.

Olive groves have been an integral part of Cretan life for thousands of years. Olive cultivation began in Minoan times, with evidence suggesting that olives have been grown on the island for over 4,000 years. Amazingly, these old olives are still fruiting. The olive tree holds great cultural and symbolic significance for the Cretan people, representing peace, prosperity, and longevity. Olive groves blanket much of Crete's countryside, covering vast stretches of land with their silver-green foliage, set against the backdrop of the island's rugged mountains and azure seas.
Olive cultivation plays a crucial role in Crete's economy, providing livelihoods for thousands of farmers and supporting local industries such as olive oil production. Cretan olive oil is renowned for its exceptional quality and is highly prized both domestically and internationally. Many olive groves in Crete are still cultivated using traditional methods passed down through generations, with farmers carefully tending to their trees, pruning them by hand, and harvesting the olives with care to preserve their flavor and quality. Farmers are increasingly turning to organic cultivation methods and eco-friendly technologies to minimize environmental impact and preserve the island's natural beauty.
There are an estimated 30 million olive trees on Crete. About 14 of them are considered sacred and it is said that their strength and beauty will leave you feeling humbled and inspired.
