This cache is placed in commemoration of Leap Day 2024
Thirty days has September,
April, June, and November,
All the rest have thirty-one,
Save February at twenty-eight,
But leap year, coming once in four,
February then has one day more.
To get to the cache:
The cache has been attached to the fence at the base of a tree adjacent to the shared pathway. Stay on the pathway side of the fence. There is a large concrete area on the other side of the pathway where you can safely park your geobike or geoscooter. While you are there, admire the river and its scenic views.
If you are driving, the best street parking is in Alston Ave near the corner of Melville Pde. Walk across the nearby pedestrian overpass to access the cache.
If you are using public transport, bus 32 and 30 have stops nearby, and the train station is about 10-15 mins walk. Walk across one of the pedestrian overpasses to access the pathway.
There are public toilets, picnic tables, and a dinking water tap at Como Jetty 450m north along the path. And there are two nearby caches along this same pathway, either side of this one, for you to locate also (a traditional and a letterbox).
