This cache is a part of my Jenkins/Skug Series (JSS). On two log sheets in the series are the north and west coordinates of the bonus cache. I took everything I enjoyed most about geocaching and made it into a series. If you choose to find all six caches in the two reservations, you will experience a variety of terrains, hide types, scenic views, musical tributes, local history, geology, and a bonus cache to top it off.
This cache’s high terrain rating is no fluke. It’s named after one of my favorite songs, Funkadelic’s 1971 classic from their album Maggot Brain. True to this cache’s title, you will certainly be questioning whether or not you can get to GZ. In the warmer months you can wade there and in the winter you may be able to ice walk. There are also some logs that may be able to assist you. Once you get there, you will have to get through the thorns where you’ll get a peaceful view of the swamp.
