The Green Hills Library Center, part of the Mid-Continent Public Library system, has a special feature. It is called the Culinary Center. Here are some of the items offered:
- Teaching and demonstration spaces to host public programs about healthy eating, nutrition, cooking, and food culture.
- Two commercial kitchens for small businesses to rent to prepare, sell, and sample food.
- Culinary-based programming to engage customers with STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and other subjects.
- Assisting small businesses with information about regulations and permits.
Everything is food themed, from the fork art out front, a fruit themed play area for kids and a LOT of cups hanging from the ceiling in the café area.
When you get to ground zero for the coordinates, in letterbox fashion, there will be instructions telling you what to do to find the cache container. According to Geocaching headquarters, geocachers should not be asking the librarians for help in locating caches inside of libraries. Please refrain from doing so. Bring your own inkpad if you want to use the stamp. I don't want kids to get into the cache and find the inkpad and make a mess in the library.
So far I've attended culinary classes on making your own pizza from scratch including the dough and sauce, how to cook eggs many ways, air fryer basics, etc. Here's some of the eggs they cooked:

You can call 816-800-9503 for library hours or look it up on the internet.
