This cache is located along the Datieliao Heritage Trail (打鐵寮古道), in the back of 後慈湖, which is on the periphery of the Chihu Resort. It was originally a military guard post established for the purpose of protecting president Chiang Kai-Shek while he visited this beloved vacation spot.
