Darby O'Gill and the Letter People
Herminie Templeton Kavanagh wrote a series of short stories about the adventures of a clever Irishman named Darby O'Gill involving fairies, leprechauns and other supernatural beings in Irish mythology. Darby O'Gill and the Good People was published as a compilation of these stories in McClure's Magazine in 1901. After the popularity of her stories the articles were published as a book in 1903. In 1926 she published a second book, Ashes of Old Wishes and Other Darby O'Gill tales. Walt Disney would later create a film based on both of these books named Darby O'Gill and the Little People. This letterbox cache is inspired by the film and the legacy of this great author. Cache is at the posted coordinates.
