The cache is placed on the Fall Creek Trail in Fall Creek (technically the Fall Creek Unit of Henry Cowell Redwoods SP). This area of the trail is completely chaotic, with burned trees, broken trees, and fallen branches in the creek and all over the trail. It's wild and pretty cool.
The cache is a medium-sized Snaplock container hidden in a large, burned-out chunk of fallen log right next to the trail. It's right next to a log "bridge" that extends across the creek. Coordinates are difficult here, and the map doesn't match the actual terrain. (The creek is actually on the southwest side of the trail here, not the northeast as the map indicates.) It should be easy to spot, but I'm including a spoiler photo just in case.
Fall Creek hours are sunrise to sunset. Dogs and bicycles are not allowed in Fall Creek. Happy hunting!
