Tuesday August 27 is National Just Because Day, so I thought it might be fun to organize an event to bring geocachers together to observe this very special and unique day in our own very special and unique way for this one significant and compelling reason:

JUST   BECAUSE

So lace up your best geocaching shoes and put together a geocaching outfit you think would be appropriate to wear to this event just because you can, or just because you want to, or simply just because!

This event is taking place in the courtyard behind Springwood Elementary school because it offers a decent sized parking area with accessibility ramps to tables with and there are even roof overhangs to shield attendees from drizzling rain or hot sun.

Here are some more ideas of things you might like to do today, just because:

• Take an unplanned day of vacation
• Wear mis-matched socks
• Visit someone you haven’t seen in a while
• Knock on someone’s door and compliment them on their great lawn
• Skip, don’t walk
• Make a paper airplane and see how far it flies
• Jump in a puddle
• Wear a tacky Christmas sweater or cool Hawaiian shirt
• Buy a package of Smarties but don't eat the red ones
