In the swirling vortex of time and space, the TARDIS sputtered, coughed, and ejected the Doctor, Donna Noble, and Martha Jones onto a battlefield unlike any they'd seen. Towering metal monoliths pulsed with a chilling hum, drones swarmed the skies, and a collective consciousness echoed in their minds, "Resistance is futile." The Borg.
Fear gnawed at Donna, who clung to the Doctor's arm. Martha, ever the soldier, stood tall, but even her resolute gaze flickered. The Doctor, however, looked grimly determined. "We need to escape," he whispered, his voice taut.
But escape was a luxury the Borg wouldn't afford. Drones surrounded them, analyzing, adapting. Sonic screwdrivers sputtered, Time Lord knowledge proved useless against a collective mind. The Doctor fought valiantly, Donna's wit offering momentary reprieves, Martha's strength buying them precious seconds. Yet, it wasn't enough.
One by one, they were overwhelmed. Donna, her fiery spirit dimmed by assimilation beams, her laughter replaced by the chilling hum. Martha, her resolve shattered, her individuality absorbed into the collective consciousness. The Doctor, his sonic screwdriver now a Borg tool, his mind invaded, his wit turned against him.
Alone, defeated, the Doctor stood before the Borg Queen, his eyes glowing with the green hum. "Your technology, your knowledge, your Time Lord essence...all will be assimilated," she announced, her voice a chorus of voices.
His mind was a battleground, fragmented memories fighting against the cold logic of the collective. Donna's pleas, Martha's unwavering gaze, his own oath to protect – these flickered like embers in the darkness. The Doctor, his friends and the TARDIS became one with the Borg who could now time travel ........
