Church Micro 15089...Caddington - St Thomas
This cache has been placed to bring you to the Roman Catholic church of St Thomas the Apostle in Caddington.
The church is a utilitarian structure of the 1960s, of no evident architectural or historical significance. It was blessed and probably completed in 1964, but there is no information at the diocesan archive or in the parish about the builder, architect or the circumstances in which the land was purchased. The building appears to be of one date. It is a plain rectangular pebbledashed structure, with corrugated metal cladding in the gable ends and a tiled roof. A wooden cross is placed against the west gable over the entrance canopy.
To find the cache inspect the wooden fence panels immediately to the left and right ot the driveway. There is an identical metal maufacturers disc on each. Beneath the word "Grange" is the number A.BC Please ensure you use the panels immidately next to the driveway, or you are likely to get a wrong value for C.
