Grass Trees hold a special place in the hearts of many Australians, it even features on the two-dollar coin. Grass trees grow right across the continent, from dry to tropical. They are stunning trees and super resilient, bouncing back from bushfires. Their flower stems are also stunning reaching up to 3-4 meters in some species. Just here you can see many small “Small Grass Tree” (Xanthorrhoea) trees regenerating from fire.
