This is a Letterbox Hybrid geocache. It is not at the published co-ordinates - you will need to visit these coordinates to work out the final location. The cache is a short walk from the plaque you will find here.
These Letterbox caches simply highlight significant individuals, from a variety of fields, who once lived behind a letterbox at this location. My thanks to tundra70 for allowing me to add to this interesting new series.
Albany Hancock (1806 – 1873)

John Hancock (1808 – 1890)

The published coordinates will take you to a plaque at a building formerly 4, St. Mary's Terrace where brothers Albany and John Hancock lived, together with their sister Mary-Jane. They both took an early interest in natural history from their father and went on to have a significant influence in the field, both locally and nationally, corresponding with leading naturalists of the time including Charles Darwin.
The nearby Hancock Museum is named after the Hancock brothers, both of whom took an instrumental part in getting the museum built. The museum contains many specimens from their collections and became known as "The Hancock Museum" following the death of John in 1890.
To arrive at the final co-ordinates:
