For the geologist, Mandalore boasts the Sundari mines. It is known as the only place in the galaxy (except for its moon Concordia) with the treasured and indestructible beskar. In addition, the planet was originally covered in forests, jungles, hills, deserts, seas, rivers, and lakes. Now mostly a desert, a curious geologist, can observe and investigate these origins. Now there is green crystallized gas.
For the historian, this is the epicenter of many important events. For example, it is where Mandalore the Great defeated the mythosaur. It is also the crossroads between Mandalorians and the Jedi. In 1,050 BBY the Mandalorian/Jedi TARRE VIZSLA created the dark saber, an important icon and symbol of leadership.
