Parc y Dre
Parc y Dre was once part of a grand Victorian park known as Morfa Seiont Common. Morfa Seiont extended north of Parc y Dre, across and beyond the land that is now the rugby club. The warden's lodge still sits at the entrance to the park, though this is now home to bats and birds rather than people!
In typical Victorian style, the patch of parkland that remains is somewhat of an arboretum, containing some impressive specimen trees from across Europe, North America, and Asia.
There are around 20 different trees in the park with a plaque in front of them. The plaque illustrates a leaf from the specimen tree and the scientific, Welsh, and English name of the species.
This cache is hidden at the base of the Bedwen Lwyd, a magnificent example of its kind.
Best of luck!
