Trečias geocache iš serijos, skirtos susipažinti su Mergežerio kaimu.
Mergežeris – kaimas Varėnos rajone, nutolęs per maždaug 4 km nuo Varėnos miesto Marcinkonių kryptimi, įsikūręs aplink tokio paties pavadinimo ežerą. Pro kaimą taip pat teka Derežnos upelis. 2021 m. duomenimis kaimas turėjo 41 nuolatinį gyventoją.
Šiaurės rytinėje kaimo dalyje, ties miško pradžia, vienas iš kaimo gyventojų turi savo bičių ūkelį. Be įprastinių, daugumai Lietuvos kaimo kraštovaizdžių būdingų šiuolaikinių įvairiaspalvių avilių čia išvysime ir keletą tradicinės, dabar jau retai kur besutinkamos drevinės bitininkystės tipo avilių. Nors tai ir nėra drevinė bitininystė tikrąja to žodžio prasme, patys aviliai išties unikalūs bei išskirtiniai. Verti aplankyti.

The third geocache in a series of geocaches to explore the village of Mergežeris.
Mergežeris is a village in Varėna district, located about 4 km from Varėna town in the direction of Marcinkonys, around the lake of the same name. The Derežna stream also flows through the village. In 2021, the village had 41 permanent inhabitants.
In the north-eastern part of the village, at the beginning of the forest, one of the inhabitants has his own bee farm. In addition to the modern multicoloured hives that are typical of most Lithuanian rural landscapes, there are also a few hives of the traditional cavity-type of beekeeping, which is now rarely seen in the countryside. Although this is not carpenter beekeeping in the true sense of the word, the hives themselves are truly unique and exceptional. Worth a visit.
