Mergežeris – kaimas Varėnos rajone, nutolęs per maždaug 4 km nuo Varėnos miesto Marcinkonių kryptimi, įsikūręs aplink tokio paties pavadinimo ežerą. Pro kaimą taip pat teka Derežnos upelis. 2021 m. duomenimis kaimas turėjo 41 nuolatinį gyventoją.
Mergežerio kaimo pakraštyje, prie kelio į Lavyso ežerą ir Žiūrų kaimą įsikūrusios gan senos, gan didelės veikiančios kapinės. Kapinėse palaidotas Mergežeryje gimęs ir augęs poetas, knygų vaikams autorius, vertėjas Martynas Vainilaitis.
DĖMESIO: norint rasti lobiuką, į pačių kapinių teritoriją eiti nereikia, tačiau, žinoma, jeigu domina, galite apsilankyti, atiduoti pagarbą išėjusiesiems.

The fourth geocache in a series of geocaches to explore the village of Mergežeris.
Mergežeris is a village in Varėna district, located about 4 km from Varėna town in the direction of Marcinkonys, around the lake of the same name. The Derežna stream also flows through the village. In 2021, the village had 41 permanent inhabitants.
On the outskirts of the village of Mergežeris, on the road to Lake Lavysas and the village of Žiūrai, there is a rather old and large cemetery in operation. Martynas Vainilaitis, a poet, children's book author and translator, who was born and grew up in Mergežeris, is buried there.
ATTENTION: You do not need to go to the cemetery itself to find the cache, but of course, if you are interested, you can visit it and pay your respects to the departed.
