Geocache Description:

At this point I have been unable to find out who this road was named after. I did find a record of a John Ward who was born in Bangladesh to Lt Colonel John Ward who worked for the East India Company, and died in Scarsdale in 1883. I also discovered that the English name 'Ward' is an occupational name for a watchman or guard from Middle English.

Whatever the history of this road name, be careful at this road crossing. You are looking for a nano.
