Kalēja ala

Seni nostāsti vēsta, ka šajā alā mitinājies kāds kalējs. Kalējala un atsegums ir valsts nozīmes aizsargājams ģeoloģiskais un ģeomorfoloģiskais dabas piemineklis kopš 1974. gada, kā arī Eiropas Savienības nozīmes aizsargājams biotops. Ilgu laiku tā tika uzskatīta par Latvijas garāko alu. Reizi pa reizei alā parādoties strauts. Tā ir gaiša, irdena 46m gara, platums ir līdz 5,7 m, augstums – līdz 2 m smilšakmens ala, kas atrodas Strīķupes labajā krastā Strīķu - Lenču ceļa malā (pie lielceļa tilta). Netālu no alas ir izveidota atpūtas vieta.

Kalējala ir aizsargājams ģeoloģisks dabas piemineklis, atrodas Gaujas Nacionālajā parkā. Ala ilgu laiku bija slēgta apmeklētājiem. Alā labprāt pārziemo sikspārņi un cilvēki ziņkārības pēc šos dzīvnieciņus aiztika, kā rezultātā ir liela iespēja sikspārnim iet bojā, jo katra pamošanās sikspārnim prasa tauku rezerves, kuru var nepietikt līdz pavasarim. Tāpēc vēlams neapmeklēt alas no oktobra vidus līdz aprīlim, kad katrs cilvēka alu apmeklējums ir bīstams sikspārņiem.

Slēpnis ir plastmasas konteiners, kas satur viesugrāmatu un zīmuli. Slēpnis atrodas netālu no alām, lai to atrastu Jums nav jādodas uz alām, bet varat tās aplūkot no attāluma.

Kalēja cave

Old stories say that a blacksmith lived in this cave. Kalējala and the outcrop are protected geological and geomorphological natural monuments of national importance since 1974, as well as a protected biotope of European Union importance. For a long time it was considered the longest cave in Latvia. Every now and then a stream appears in the cave. It is a bright, loose 46m long, width up to 5.7 m, height - up to 2 m sandstone cave, which is located on the right bank of Strīķupe on the edge of the Strīķi - Lenču road (near the highway bridge). A rest area has been created near the cave.

Kalējala is a protected geological natural monument, located in the Gauja National Park. The cave was closed to visitors for a long time. Bats like to hibernate in the cave and people touched these animals out of curiosity, resulting in a high chance of the bat dying, as each awakening requires the bat's fat reserves, which may not be sufficient until spring. Therefore, it is advisable not to visit the caves from mid-October to April, when every human visit the caves, it's dangerous for bats.

The Geocache is a plastic container that contains a guest book and a pencil. The hide is located near the caves, to find it you don't have to go to the caves, but you can look at them from a distance.
