Trenčianske fontány
Asi každé mesto má svoju fontánu. Trenčín ich má dokonca päť. Po nich nich Vás prevedie táto multina – odporúčam si ju prejsť v lete, keď fontány fungujú.
Fontána na Vajanského ulici
Fontána pri budove, ktorú vlastní jedna banka. Názov ale spomínať nebudem, lebo by to bolo považované za komerčný obsah.

Vodník
Najznámejšia trenčianska fontána z ktorej vykúka Vodník Valentín. Vodník Valentín je rozprávkový mužíček oblečený v typickom hastrmanskom klobúku a fraku, ktorý vylieza zo studne a v pravidelných intervaloch strieka zo svojich úst vodu. Počas horúcich letných dní je nielen skvelou atrakciou, ale i príjemným osviežením. Socha Valentína pochádza z roku 1998 a viaže sa k nej pútavá povesť.
Tá hovorí, že vodník sa sem zatúlal z Moravy a zamiloval sa do pernikárky Aničky, ktorá mu lásku opätovala. Ich spoločnému šťastiu však bránili obyvatelia mesta, ktorí vodníka nemali radi. Jedného dňa však dom pernikárky Aničky začal horieť. Vodník neváhal, ponáhľal sa do Váhu a spod zeme otvoril nové pramene, ktoré požiar uhasili. Anička nešťastie prežila, ale Vodník nie. A tak na miestach, kde vyvierala voda nechali vtedajší obyvatelia mesta postaviť studne. Na pamiatku hrdinského Vodníka tu neskôr postavili sochu s jeho podobizňou. Počas leta sú v jeho okolí rozostavané drevené lavičky, odkiaľ sa vám naskytne krásny výhľad priamo na Trenčiansky hrad. Večer je zas unikátna fontána doplnená o svetelné efekty.

Fontána Marca Aurélia
Fontána pomenovaná po rímskom cisárovi, ktorý vládol v časoch Laugarcia je pekným vodným prvkom na námestí. V okolí sú lavičky, na ktorých sa dá posedieť.

Fontána v Zlatej Fatime (Dobrovoľný)
Nenápadná fontána sa nachádza aj v Zlatej Fatime, no často býva v hroznom stave - plná špakov a smetí. Nikdy som ju ešte nevidel fungovať a tiecť.
Fontána pri ZUŠke
Fontána so sochou, cez leto občasne funguje, no v iných obdobich roka je celkom neudržiavaná. V blízkosti fontány je aj „LIPA SLOBODY A BRATSTVA.“ Vysadená bola v roku 2018.

Fountain on Vajanského street
A fountain near a building owned by one bank. But I will not mention the name, because it would be considered commercial content.

Vodník (the Waterman)
The most famous fountain in Trenčín, from which Vodník Valentín peeks out. Waterman Valentín is a fairy-tale man dressed in a typical Hastman hat and tailcoat, who climbs out of the well and sprays water from his mouth at regular intervals. During hot summer days, it is not only a great attraction, but also a pleasant refreshment. The Valentine statue dates back to 1998 and has an intriguing legend attached to it.
Legend has it that a waterman wandered here from Moravia and fell in love with the gingerbread woman Anička, who returned her love. However, their shared happiness was hindered by the townspeople who did not like the waterman. One day, however, the gingerbread house of Anička caught fire. Waterman did not hesitate, he rushed to Váh and opened new springs from underground, which extinguished the fire. Anička survived the accident, but Vodník did not. And so the inhabitants of the city at the time had wells built in the places where the water was springing up. In memory of the heroic Waterman, a statue with his likeness was later erected here. During the summer, wooden benches are built in its vicinity, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view directly of the Trenčín Castle. In the evening, the unique fountain is complemented by light effects.

The fountain with the statue occasionally works during the summer, but at other times of the year it is quite unmaintained. Near the fountain is also the "LIME OF FREEDOM AND BROTHERHOOD." It was planted in 2018.
