First cache of a new series of easter themed caches to celebrate this upcoming holiday!
When I was a child, my grandparents used to host Easter every year and it was one of my favorite holidays spent with them. The whole family would come over, we'd have food and all the kids, including myself, would participate in an Easter egg hunt that my grand parents set up. Each egg would have quarters in it, and the special egg had a $20 bill, which was a lot for a child at the time.
This series will be based on, you guessed it, an Easter egg hunt. The cache design will become obvious once found, it is also based on ornaments my grandparents made for the big red japanese maple tree she had in the front yard. Although, hers were hung with string, these are done slightly different and not all are hanging to ward off being muggled.
During this series, you will be following the Cocalico Creek, but you won't be able to follow the whole thing on foot as you eventually hit private property or a busy street. Please do not try and cross 272 later on in the series, there is another park located north of the skate park to continue the series, and so on after that. I will include parking coordinates for each cache.
Congratulations to ratjam for being FTF!
