Back before geocaching, I often did the four mile or so loop around St. Joseph's Hill. I haven't been there as much recently because there are so many great hikes elsewhere, but it's near home and today I stopped work early to get a hike in.
I noticed that there was a bit of a gap, so I decided that one more cache might convince people to go up the hill again. The cache is near the start of the Manzanita Trail, very close to the trail. It's a tube that I won in a raffle at a geocaching event, so it's time to give that back to the geocaching community. Now it is a camo taped centrifuge tube
St. Joseph's Hill Open Space Reserve is open from a half hour before sunrise to a half hour after sunset. If you enter from Jones Road you go through Novitiate Park, which is only open until sunset; you can also start from Alma Bridge Road which is a shorter hike.
Happy caching.
