This little gem of a lake is a local favorite, yet rarely visited. Great for hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, but most of all, bass fishing. The cache is located at one of the best parts of the lake to fish. Bass Lake is also a bird sanctuary with many gorgeous swans (even a black swan on occasion) floating around the lake.
The best way to enter the park is via Serrano Pkwy at the Sellers Park entrance (dirt road). Proceed to the parking area and then walk north across the large grassy soccer field to enter the lake trail system via an open gate at the northern corner of the field. There are plenty of trails to explore beyond that. Access to GZ will be via trails and pathways - you will not have to hike through any unmaintained areas.
Final note - the cache is NOT located under any rocks.
