Future boardwalk repairs need a workspace cleared of honeysuckle. This invasive shrub and other thorny plants are growing inward so we will cut back along the trail for a more pleasant walk. When we break for lunch, there are more than 5 caches in BSWA including an Earthcache to choose your adventure. Shuttle to closer starting spot is an option, or walk the entire 3 mile segment length and give a short report (downed trees, overgrowth) for maintenance awareness. Our worksite is within 1 mile of parking lot D/DD.
Please rsvp so we have enough handsaw/loppers. No toilets. Wear long sleeves, pants, leather gloves. We will work in a light rain. Bring water, snacks and leave with a sense of accomplishment!
