Join us on a journey to explore the geological marvels that not only shaped Bendalong's landscape but also hold secrets about the prehistoric creatures that once called this place home.

Educational Lesson:

Rocks serve as Earth's silent chroniclers, preserving clues about our planet's distant past within their layers. Here in Bendalong, the weathered rock formations and the embedded fossil beds hold captivating secrets millions of years in the making. We can study these fossils to learn about the evolution of life, reconstruct the geological history of the region, and gain a glimpse into the vibrant ecosystems that thrived here long ago.

Unique Feature:

The star attraction of this EarthCache is the presence of unique fossil beds scattered throughout Bendalong. These beds offer a window into the diverse life forms that inhabited this area millions of years ago. Keep your eyes peeled for fossilized shells, plant impressions, or even bone fragments – each a testament to the creatures that roamed this region in the prehistoric era.
