This cache should be done in daytime only. If you want to see the area next door (believe me, you WILL want to see it), then you must come between 8 AM and 3:45 PM.
Just park in the lot, find the cache, enjoy the display in front of you, then follow the paved road through the gate towards all the buildings. It is open to the public during the hours previously listed. Everything is labeled where you can visit and what doors can be opened for viewing.
The cache isn't the main event here, it's used to lure you in. What you will find at this location is worth the drive to see. Bring a quarter or two along as well - you'll see why when you get there. If you have children, all the better, they will love this place and you will need more quarters.
If you run into Chuck, one of the workers there, he is more than willing to share his vast knowledge with you. I'm sure the others would as well.
It's been in this location since 1893. It's had many changes since that time, including a terrible fire in 1955.
It is an integral steppingstone for a sport thousands of people enjoy daily and yet most don’t even know exists.
