Geocache Description:

This cache is best visited in daylight — not because anything here is dangerous, but because the real secret of this location only reveals itself between 8:00 AM and 3:45 PM. Outside those hours, you’ll only get the surface… and the surface is just the beginning.

Park in the lot, make the find, and take a moment to look around. You’re standing beside something most people drive past without ever realizing what’s tucked away here. If curiosity tugs at you (and it will), follow the paved road through the gate toward the buildings. Everything open to the public is clearly marked, so you won’t accidentally interrupt any highly confidential aquatic negotiations.

Now for the twist:
The cache is not the main attraction.
It’s simply the lure — a gentle nudge toward a place that’s been operating since 1893, survived a fire in 1955, and still quietly supports a sport enjoyed by thousands of people who have no idea this facility is working behind the scenes. It’s one of Bath’s best‑kept secrets, hiding in plain sight like a very polite trout.

Bring a quarter or two.
If you bring kids, bring more.
Let’s just say there’s a small device on‑site that happily trades pocket change for a surprisingly entertaining experience. You’ll know it when you see it.

If you meet Chuck, you’ve hit the jackpot.
He’s got more fish facts than a trout has scales, and he’s happy to share them. The rest of the crew is just as friendly — nobody here is koi about what they do.

If you’ve got time, bring a picnic. There are tables available for public use.
Just bring your own water — the locals here are extremely committed to theirs.

Enjoy the cache, enjoy the mystery, and enjoy discovering a quiet little corner of Bath that most people never realize they’ve been missing. You may leave with a smile… and possibly a new appreciation for the residents who call this place home.
