This is a night cache. Follow your GPS to the posted coordinates, then follow a path marked with reflective tacks to the final cache location. You will need a good flashlight - and you also should wear clothing appropriate for being in the woods at night. The trails are well-worn, but still include roots and rocks, so sturdy footwear is recommended.
White tacks will lead you into the woods, and orange tacks will lead you out. Stay on the trails as you follow the tacks - there is no need to leave the trails until the last 50 feet.
The start of the tack trail is approximately a quarter mile from the parking lot - and the tack trail itself is 1.5 miles round trip - then another quarter mile back to the parking lot for a grand total of around 2 miles. It will seem longer than a typical hike of this length, however. Expect to take an hour for the whole adventure, depending on how many pairs of little legs are in your group. Kinsey Park is open from sunrise until 11pm.
These trails are maintained by volunteers from PAMBA - http://www.pambamtb.org/kinsey. Trails are well-marked, and no bushwhacking is required to get from tack to tack. Some trails may not be open every day, depending on conditions. Please respect any trail closure signs - it's best to hike when it's dry, or frozen. And stay alert for cyclists, as the trails are actively used by mountain bikers (although rarely at night).
Please also follow the usual rules for contents of caches (no food items, and no inappropriate, offensive, or hazardous materials).
