Geocache Description:

Acknowledgement of Country: I would like to pay my respects to the First People: the traditional custodians of the lands and waterways of the Ngunnawal, Ngunawal and Ngambri Country. I would like to acknowledge that this geocache has been placed on what was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.

This cache is not located at the posted coordinates. To calculate the coordinates for GZ, you will need to complete the associated Adventure Lab (AL), 'Democracy Manifest'. The link to the AL is: https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/18013d2e-4f15-4719-8cfc-a8043abf586e.

Welcome to Old Parliament House, now called the Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD).

I strongly believe that it's one of Canberra's most underrated attractions. You get to sit down in the very rooms that the politicians once did, learn more about politics and see all the cool ways that they've replicated the old look of each room. There are also cool political exhibitions available throughout the year and on election days, people are allowed to come here to vote.

So, I'd definitely say, Old Parliament House is democracy manifest (if you know, you know).

This AL requires you to visit 5 locations inside Old Parliament House. Once you get to each location, one question will appear and you'll need to find the code word. On the way to each location, you'll pass a heap of other cool rooms, I encourage you to take a look and grab a coffee and bite whilst you're here!

What is the charge (of entry)? It's free, no cost! Old Parliament House is open from 9am to 5pm daily and closed on Christmas Day.

Once you finish the AL, each journal entry contains a photo of a Prime Minister who held office at Old Parliament House. Substitute each Prime Minister for a number to calculate values A to E. It's based on one of the first caching puzzles that I ever solved, if you're having trouble then you're welcome to email or message me! Once you calculate values A to E, you'll be able the solve the following:

S35 18.(B-20)(B-C)(A-16)

E149 07.(E-C)(A-C)(D-A)

Checksum: A + B + C + D + E = 92 (solution checker is also available).

The bonus cache is located a short drive away near another democracy-related location. Parking is nearby at an unused bus stop if you look closely at the map. The cache is a micro screwtop tube (thank you domsky).

***FTF honours goes to 63ROOS, ALL7 and Groot_1983***
