ArsVivendi : Via del Carmine
Via del Carmine è costituita da una antica mulattiera che da Bonzanigo porta al borgo di Viano. Il viottolo in acciottolato attraversa un paesaggio agreste fatto di terrazzamenti, dove la terra è stata strappata ai monti per coltivarla. Oggi non vi è traccia dei coltivi, rimangono qualche ulivo e alcuni insediamenti residenziali. Non è un paesaggio del tutto naturale, ma la natura prende posto là dove le è consentito. Fiancheggia la mulattiera un muretto (una volta sicuramente un muretto a secco, oggi il cemento fa mostra di sè tra le pietre): anche qui la natura conquista gli interstizi. Diverse specie di piante colonizzano i piccoli pertugi tra i sassi, mostrando adattamenti ad un habitat certamente non semplice per la vita dei vegetali.

Via del Carmine consists of an ancient mule track that leads from Bonzanigo to the village of Viano. The cobblestone alley crosses a rural landscape made of terraces, where the land has been carved from the mountains for cultivation. Today, there is no trace of the crops; only a few olive trees and some residential settlements remain. It's not a completely natural landscape, but nature takes its place where it's allowed to. Alongside the mule track is a low wall (once surely a dry stone wall, today cement is visible between the stones): here too, nature conquers the crevices. Various plant species colonize the small gaps between the rocks, demonstrating adaptations to an undoubtedly challenging habitat for plant life.
